GATR EV Electric Trucks

We have an exciting announcement at GATR Truck Center. You will soon be able to buy an electric truck at our dealership. We are thrilled to offer an efficient and eco-friendly option for our buyers.

The Company

Our GATR electric trucks are designed by SEA Electric, at the forefront of EV transport solutions. This global automotive technology company was first founded in Australia in 2012 and are now headquartered in Los Angeles, CA.

Their operations currently span five continents. The company confirmed an order of over 1,000 SEA Hino M5 EVs to the USA, their single largest order.

The Trucks

The SEA Hino M5 EV is a zero-emission truck. It includes the patented SEA-Drive® power system, which gives the truck market-leading performance and range.

The system is specified for trucks with a GVWR of 13,000 to 18,000 pounds. It features a 1,106 lb-ft electric motor and a 138kWh battery pack.

Buying an Electric Truck

Our electric trucks will be available at GATR EV, a division of GATR Truck Center. Our new GATR EV headquarters is located in Waukee, IA. We will have charging stations, a training center, and a maintenance facility there soon.

We expect the first 40 vehicles to be delivered by the end of this year. The remainder will continue to arrive at our dealerships throughout 2022.
